The continuous top rail allows you to mount iron sights, optics and any other accessories without additional rail sections. The M-Lok system allows users to customize the handguard with rail sections and direct mount accessories. The handguard is constructed of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and finished with a Mil-Spec type III hard coat black anodizing.
The MLA free float handguard has a precision bore to fit the proprietary barrel nut which removes any unwanted play and ensure an exact fit!! Installation requires a 1-1/8" Crows Foot wrench (not included) for the barrel nut; standard AR-15 barrel nut wrenches will not work with this handguard system. The handguard is secured to the 7075 aluminum barrel nut by 2 10/32 allen screws, stainless steel key seat lock, and anti-slip helicoils. Length is measured from along the top rail.

Im building a 6.5 Grendel with a 20" SS barrel and went looking for 17" hand guard. I wanted it to be light to make up for having such a heavy barrel. Found this one online and ordered it shortly thereafter. I could not be any happier with this hand guard. I compared it to my Father-in-laws 15" hand guard and was blown away by how much lighter weight it was even though it was 2" longer. I messed up when I placed my order on Saturday and got a call on Monday to make sure that my order was correct and that it would be shipping that day.Great service and a great product.

With the help of this rail I reduced the weight of my rifle by 1.5 lbs. The rail itself is perfect. The only issue I have with this purchase is the communication with customer service. The website says you will get a email with an expected ship date. I received no such email. I travel with my job so on the the third business day I called to see when it may ship. I got no answer so I left a message. I waited for a call back and never got one. I then called on the fourth work day. Each time I called that day it sounded like someone answered and just set the phone down. This scared me a little. After all they had nearly $300 of my money. I decided to shoot them an email and got a response. They were real nice and said it should ship by friday. They were real backed up do to the political mess going on in Cali. Thats all I wanted to know. Well Friday came and nothing. I shot another Email late friday and asked someone to please call me. On monday I recived a call. The person stated my rail just finished and was being sent to finishing. He stated it would push it through and I would have it by Friday with 2 day shipping. I got notice that a shipping label was created on Wednesday. Thats all I got till friday. No other notices. I finally showed up on staurday, 15 days later. Im not mad, just disapointed In the lack of communication which translates in my mind to they didn't care. The rail itself is amazing in every way. It alone overcomes the bad in this purchase and Im sure I will buy again as i plan to build more. I hope it all boiled down to the rush in orders due to the latest Cali gun grab.
