    Exquisite as lowers go

Haven't milled and drilled yet, but the piece and concept are top notch in a field of hundreds. Just buy it.

    Nice lower

Posted by Richard Chadwick on 4th Oct 2020

Features and finish is beautiful. Very well made. Waiting on a jig to finish it, but it pins to my upper nicely. I installed an ambi mag release and bolt release to test fit, both were a little sticky/shaggy at first, but a few minutes of working the controls smoothed them out nicely. I tried a pmag m3 and it locked securely and dropped free. Overall very satisfied, here's hoping I don't chew it up finishing it. Probably should have chosen a cheaper lower for my first 80%.

Haven't milled it yet but looks great

Havent milled this yet but the machining and finish looks great. I have to order jl billets jig. I was told it is not compatible with the 5tactical jig.

    This is one awesome piece.

I bought this lower because I wanted something special for a build I have going. I was looking for something purely based on aesthetics. This lower not only look great, it has functional features that blows away the nearest competition. Now here is an "Easter Egg" I absolutely was thrilled about, the lower's unique proprietary cuts matches up to almost perfection with AR Stoner Billet upper. I'm not kidding I'm probably going to buy 2 more. The con: You will have to modify the ambi threaded pin. The ambi cross connection receiver pin will have to be "turned" or sanded to fit in its hole. The pros out weigh the con!

    Great concept, subpar execution

Posted by Dave on 15th Apr 2020

I've spent at least $450 on these lowers and haven't been able to get a single one to work properly. The lower has awesome features you won't find anywhere else, but has some issues that always keep me from actually using it. 1. I have yet to get one that has the ambi bolt release screw properly threaded. I have stripped COUNTLESS screws trying to get them to fit, they just dont. Between that and the issue below, I've broken three of these lowers so far trying to get stuck/stripped pins and screws out. 2. Another issues I've run into on every single one is the tension pin that connects the bolt releases. Every hole has been either too small or pin to large because they just get stuck in the hole and render the bolt release useless. Again, great concept. Needs more attention to detail or QC.

Engineering excellence. You can get no better 80% lower receiver. Stands out above the rest!

Extremely expensive for so many finishing issues

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Jan 2020

I was very excited to get one of these but that was quickly tempered by the amount of finishing work needed. For example: 1. the 6/32 ambi bolt release holes were not threaded properly on (2) receivers. 2. The Ambi bolt release hole for the release pin is too small and needed reaming. 3. Select angles and curves were not finish milled and have chunks and/or rough spots instead of blending. 4. Rear takedown set screw is small, not 6/32 which is standard on other billet lowers. Overall I'd say these were rushed on the mill, someone was in too much of a hurry and didn't finish them properly. The rough edges and sharp corners are fine as it needs to be tumbled prior to coating. Keep in mind these issues are while raw and uncoated. I will more than likely have to finish tap and ream all the holes again once it's anodized or cerakoted. Decent looking design but be prepared to do a final finishing pass on all the threaded screw holes with a 6/32 tap and 1/4 reamer for the takedown pin holes. It's a lot of work for a $150 receiver. These are worth about $80 retail.

    First billet upper

Posted by Unknown on 2nd Jan 2017

I have built 2 forged uppers, and wanted to give a billet a try. Very glad i did, the detail in the lower is amazing, it really complements a high end build. I would seriously recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a lower.

    Awesome lower, The worst coating.

Posted by Gabe G. on 30th Nov 2016

Awesome lower. The features are great. I havent put an upper on it so I cant say anything about the ambidextrous bolt release its shorter than any of my other lowers. Assuming it has enough leverage to not be cumbersome the fitment is great. The machining is rougher around the beavertail area than ive seen on others. The black coating is TERRIBLE, it is extreamly chaulky every time I touch it it turns white, dust embeds in it and it needs to be cleaned constantly If I had to do it over I would get the raw lower and have it coated else where. I can not stand the coating at all I bead blasted it and am waiting to hear back from two different companies to see if im going to have it anodized or cerakoted. I wouldnt have a bad thing to say if it weren't for this god aweful coating.
