JL Billet 80% .308 Matched Upper and Lower Set

These matched sets are machined out of billet 7075 T-6 aerospace aluminum and held to the tightest tolerances. Having a matched set upper and lower ensures the tightest fit, cleanest look, and proper function of your rifle. All JL Billet products are designed to have aesthetic appeal combined with advanced features and flawless function! All JL Billet parts are made in the USA.

    Bought this set to replace a set I bought from Hellfire Armory. my first AR build which turned into a nightmare of biblical proportions. This set is awesome, light and everything was correct except for the slop between the upper and lower when pinned together. I own a machine shop and will have to make some bushings to tighten up the slop. The Magpul handles match up pretty good but could be tighter around the radius. One side of the trigger guard has 2 1/32 slots milled in it but the other side doesn't. These guys came very close to achieving perfection if it wasn't for the slop.

    Unboxing I was a little suprised by lack of separation between upper and lower (could have rattled and created wear marks) luckily this didn’t happen. The machine work was very nice with one minor flaw. The tool path on a ball nose endmill that radiused the shell deflector design was off. This is where the shell deflector meets the main body of the upper. Not an issue or defect. Just a minor tool path blend issue. I’m picky being a former machinist. The fit between upper and lower is good. I feel as if this is one of the nicest sets in the industry. I can’t wait to get the whole gun assembled. Looking at purchasing another upper so I can switch out to a 6.5 creedmoor

    I chose this matched upper lower set over a JP Enterprise set, that should tell you a lot right there. I am very happy with the choice of this set...excellent finish, excellent quality......have recieved many compliments on it. Fit in the matched set is the best I have seen and many others who have looked at it said the same. Completely satisfied and would buy again...........it is a work of billet art !

    The folks at JL Billet are great. They sent my order on time, and caught an ordering error I made. the matched uppers and lowers ad needs some clarification though as the charging handle shown is NOT included. Five stars for the team.

    Just received a JL 308 upper/lower set...

    Just received my JL Billet upper/lower 308 set. I ordered the raw (unanodized kit) and the fit is nice and snug. The lower has a few noticeable improvements over most other lowers. This has a ambi bolt release with nice ergonomics designed into the lower. Even though the upper and lower set is matched, there is a set screw to adjust tension to eliminate any wobble of the rear of the upper to lower. The upper is DPMS low so there are many options for FF handguards. IMO great product at an excellent price.
